CommerceConnect is a Department of Commerce initiative. It assists U.S. businesses to become more competitive in the global marketplace by accessing over 70 Commerce programs, services, and resources along with other Federal, state, and local programs. CommerceConnect brings all of Commerce's resources and services together under one roof as a 'one-stop-shop' to help businesses navigate opportunities which may help you grow your business and create new jobs.
How long will it take to get CommerceConnect assistance?
The length of time will depend on the complexity of the questions asked or business needs identified. CommerceConnect will work with each caller individually to identify the best solutions and resources.
What will it cost?
CommerceConnect assessment and referral services are free of charge. A Commerce Specialist may refer the business to one or more program services. Some program services are fee based. A business will be informed if there is an applicable program fee once a referral is made.
What services can CommerceConnect provide me?
CommerceConnect is dedicated to assisting U.S. businesses grow. Our services are designed to streamline the process of accessing the Department of Commerce's 70 plus business programs along with other Federal, state, and local programs. Our specialists will reach out to you and discuss your needs. They will then match you to applicable programs and make the referrals to program representatives.
What programs are part of CommerceConnect?
CommerceConnect taps into 70+ U.S. Department of Commerce programs provide assistance to businesses. Additionally, Commerce Specialists have access to other Federal, State, and Local programs that also provide assistance to businesses.
These programs include information about financing solutions; business, trade, technical information and data; intellectual property; starting a business; process improvement; market diversification and domestic contracting opportunities; export, import and trade; and regulation.
Does CommerceConnect cover only U.S. Department of Commerce programs?
Commerce Specialists match businesses to programs, resources and services that best meet the needs of the firm. In addition to the Department of Commerce, a firm may be matched to other Federal, state, and local programs that can provide assistance to businesses.
Can CommerceConnect help me find state and local resources?
Yes. We will first attempt to match you to the 70+ U.S Department of Commerce programs. However to better assist your needs, CommerceConnect may also lead you to state or local resources.
